Free Shocktober CPR & AED Session in Coolum

Free Shocktober CPR & AED Session in Coolum

Could you help save a life? Join our free community awareness session on Friday 23 October, 12:00–1:00 pm.

Knowing how to respond when someone suffers a cardiac arrest can feel daunting—especially if you have never practised CPR. This Shocktober, Horizon Training is inviting people from Coolum and surrounding Sunshine Coast communities to take a practical first step.

Call. Push. Shock.

The session introduces the Call, Push, Shock message through hands-on learning. You will have an opportunity to become more familiar with CPR and an automated external defibrillator, commonly known as an AED, in a supportive training environment. The aim is to make these lifesaving skills feel less unfamiliar and help community members build confidence to respond in an emergency.

Practical awareness for everyday people

You do not need a medical background or previous CPR experience to attend. Whether you are a parent, carer, worker, volunteer or simply someone who wants to be better prepared, this session offers a welcoming introduction to CPR and AED awareness. It is also an opportunity to ask questions and practise alongside other people from your local community.
