The unit provides students with skills and knowledge necessary to confidently interpret and use medical terminology in both written and oral communication. Students will learn the fundamental structure of medical terms, ensuring they can accurately understand and convey medical information.

Learning content is provided in an online format within the course. The assessment component consists of multiple choice questions, written questions, student self-video assessments and incident report forms.
Please note that all case studies within this course are fictional. As a wide variety of job descriptions and workplace environments exist within the healthcare sector, case studies may not always cover all types of possible scenarios encountered within your job role or scope of work.
