This course is Self Paced – It is expected students may complete the course within 7-8 hours (depending on experience levels).
This course provides you with the knowledge and skills to address significant challenges in the context of providing a health care service. You will learn how to communicate with patients, colleagues, health providers and ambulance service callers in a range of situations, using both verbal and non-verbal interactions. Certificates issued by Allens Training Pty Ltd RTO 90909.
Learning content is provided in an online format within the course. The assessment component consists of multiple choice questions, written questions, student self-video assessments and incident report forms.
Please note that all case studies within this course are fictional. As a wide variety of job descriptions and workplace environments exist within the healthcare sector, case studies may not always cover all types of possible scenarios encountered within your job role or scope of work. However, these case studies should allow you to identify complex communication needs and demonstrate how to adjust your communication techniques accordingly.
Online study:
Students must have access to a computer, smartphone, tablet or other electronic devices with access to the internet to complete the online/ pre-course studies.
